Summer Exhibition
Our Summer Gallery Exhibition attracts strong foot traffic. In addition to increased local visitors, Blue Harbor welcomes 1,000 visitors each week during the summer. This offers excellent visibility and sales potential for participating artists.
Exhibition Agreement
At the time of artwork delivery, each artist will be asked to sign an Exhibition Agreement. The agreement will be sent to artists upon acceptance for review. Hard copies will be available for signature when delivering art to Impressions Fine Art Gallery.

2D submissions must be original; reproductions of originals in any form (including giclee) are not eligible.
Artwork must be a single piece, diptychs or triptychs are not eligible
Artwork dimensions must not exceed 45” wide x 45” in height (FRAMED dimensions)
Each artist may submit four pieces of art

Please have your submission images, image details (title, FRAMED dimensions, medium, price) a biography, a profile picture ready to complete your submission.
Artists (emerging or established), 18 years of age or older are invited to enter 2D art.
Submission Fee
The submission fee begins at $27 and is based on membership choice. New artists should select a membership category: non-member, member, or volunteer member. If you are new to Impressions, choose the option that best fits your needs. For convenience, you may pay the fee(s) for submission and annual membership (if applicable) on our website (impressionsart.org), where you can also find membership details and benefits. Membership Fee
Membership begins at $30 per year and entitles the artist to several benefits. If paying via credit card, there are processing fees.

· All 2D submission images must be direct-facing and cropped (no frame showing)
· Images should be in sharp focus with color as accurate as possible
Images must be uploaded in correct orientation (portrait, landscape)
File size must be less than 4MB
Images must be in .jpg format, 300dpi
Images must be named as follows: artist name_title(Do not includ spaces in the file name)
Selection
All .jpg images will be viewed by the jury as a “blind file.” No artist names will be included, but size and medium will be included. All images will be scored by the jury utilizing a rubric. If an accepted work is not an original upon arrival to the gallery or is not accurately depicted in the .jpg submitted or is improperly framed or wired (see Artwork Requirements section for wiring details) – it may be eliminated from the exhibition by the curator.

Accepted 2D art must be delivered to the gallery during the timeframes requested. If there is an issue with said timing, please contact the gallery to schedule an alternate delivery time. All packing and transportation packaging must be removed by the artist at delivery, and taken with them
Accepted artwork must be labeled – on the back for 2D, on the bottom for 3D. Label details required are:
o Artist Name
o Title
o Dimensions (framed)
o Medium
o Price
2D artwork must be wired. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted.
Impressions Fine Art Gallery reserves the right to refuse any art piece that is damaged, not properly framed, or fails to meet the eligibility and entry requirements
Artwork may not be removed prior to exhibition closing date (see calendar)
The Gallery team will handle artwork in a professional manner and with great care; however, the Impressions Fine Art Gallery, it’s team and Blue Harbor Resort will not be held liable for loss or damage to artwork while on premises or during it’s transportation to and from the Gallery. We recommend that all artists (at their expense) properly insure their art against loss or damage.

All art must be for sale
The Gallery retains (45% commission for non-members, 40% commission for Members and 30% for Volunteer Members) and the retail price should reflect this assigned commission
At the end of each month, sales will be summarized and respective artist’s commissions generated via check and mailed (eg- end of September sales checks will be issued the first week of October

July 6 and 7 : Art Drop Off (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day)
July 10: Exhibition Opening Night 4:00-8:00pm
September 27: Exhibition Closes
September 28 and 29: Artwork Pick-up between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 pm
